Therefore it comes as no surprise that her fleeting appearance in Dwayne Johnson’s new Baywatch flick hasn’t gone down well with her fans. The trailer shows Chopra for barely a couple of seconds before going back to the other actors in the film, which include Zac Efron and Alexandra Daddario. The Hindustan Times got in touch The Rock for an explanation via Twitter, to which he responded: “All our fans & press friends in INDIA,@priyankachopra SLAYS our #Baywatch! Trust my plan..The #Boss is comin’.”
Chopra also took to Twitter to acknowledge The Rock’s assurances. ““lol...thank you DJ...trusted you from day one. India loves you and will love everything about Baywatch! #Wait4VictoriaLeeds @TheRock” she wrote.
It’s fairly understandable why the producers barely show Priyanka in the trailer. She is the lead antagonist therefore it doesn’t make sense that they would give her less mileage on purpose. Perhaps they don’t want to give too much of her character away or wish to leave it as a surprise for the very end. Regardless, the film will hit the screens next year on May 26th.
