Even though many of our TV actors are making their big screen debuts with the new wave of Pakistani cinema, most of them still continue to work for television.
Actress Mawra Hocane, who made her Bollywood debut with Sanam Teri Kasam this year, and Sonya Hussayn, who made her film debut with Jami Mehmood’s Moor, are all set to appear in Geo TV’s upcoming drama serial Haasil. Starring Ahsan Khan, whose performance in the ongoing drama serial Udaari has generated enormous acclaim, Haasil is expected to go on air later this month.
In a quick conversation with Instep, Khan revealed that Haasil is a family-oriented play that revolves around social issues. “Haasil is going to be a family drama and the audience will find it very entertaining,” he noted.
Talking about his character in the play, Khan shared that it’s nothing like the one in Udaari. “I am playing the role of a simple guy who starts making speculations about the girl because of some misunderstanding,” he stated.
While teasers for this particular drama have been around for some time now, the serial couldn’t make it to air because of some delays in shooting. However, Khan revealed that most of the shooting has been completed now.
Produced by Zayed Sheikh, who is also producing Khan’s upcoming film Chupan Chupai, Haasil will see the Udaari star share screen with Mawra Hocane for the first time.
