ISLAMABAD: Petrol price is likely to go up by Rs2.17 per litre with the beginning of new year while diesel price may be eased by Rs5.93 a litre,
According to a summary prepared by Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) and sent to the Ministry of Petroleum, the petrol price is recommended to be increased by Rs2.17 to Rs78.43 per litre.
However, the summary has proposed reduction in prices of other petroleum products.
It has proposed a decline in the rate of diesel by Rs5.93 to Rs77.86 a litre; kerosene oil by Rs7.92 to Rs48.25 and; High Octane Blending Component (HOBC) by Rs4.33 a litre.
