The 20th T20 match in the fourth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will be played between Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Thursday night.
Both teams had previously clashed on February 16 at Dubai where the Kings emerged the victorious by 27 runs.
However, the Qalandars have an edge over the Kings being placed fourth on points table while Karachi went down to the bottom (placed sixth). Both have so far played six matches in the tournament as Lahore won three matches and lost three while Karachi won two and lost four matches.
The highest total Lahore Qalandars made in the PSL4 is 204/4 (against Multan Sultans on February 22 at Sharjah). This is also a record total in the history of PSL. The highest total by Karachi Kings is 188/4 (vs Quetta Gladiators at Sharjah on February 24).
The most runs scored by any batsman for Lahore Qalandars are 185, by AB De Villiers, who compiled in six matches at an average of 61.66 with one fifty whereas for Karachi Kings, it is Babar Azam, who made 201 runs in six matches at an average of 33.50 with two fifties.
Colin Ingram of Karachi Kings scored an unbeaten 127 off just 59 balls against Quetta Gladiators at Sharjah on February 24. This is not only the best score in the event but also the only century in the tournament.
The highest individual score for Lahore Qalandars is 65 by Fakhar Zaman from 44 balls made against Islamabad United at Dubai in the opening match of the PSL4.
Pacer Haris Rauf is the highest wicket-taker for Lahore Qalandars. He has grabbed ten wickets in six matches at an average of 14.70 with one haul of four wickets in an innings.
For Karachi Kings, left-arm fast bowler Mohammad Amir took the most wickets - 8 (ave 20.62) with one four-wicket haul.
However, the best bowling performance for Lahore Qalandars was displayed by an 18-year-old off-spinner from Nepal Sandeep Lamichhane who captured four wickets for 10 runs against Quetta Gladiators at Dubai on February 27. These are the best bowling figures so far in the tournament.
