Lahore Qalandars-Karachi Kings spat: Complaint filed against Wasim Akram, Imad Wasim

DUBAI: A feud between Pakistan Super League franchises Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars ensued after the teams competed against each other in the first fixture of the league's fourth edition on Saturday.

According to a report published in Daily Jang, after Lahore defeated Karachi by 22 runs in a rousing match, an exchange of inappropriate gestures occurred, resulting in an official complaint filed against Karachi Kings' President Wasim Akram, captain Imad Wasim and fast bowler Mohammad Amir.

In lieu of the spat, Imad Wasim and Mohammad Amir have been alleged of exhibiting inappropriate gestures and using offensive language towards women. The matter was later taken up to match referee Roshan Mahanama in a formal, written complaint put forth by Lahore Qalandars.

Whereas, an official complaint had also been filed by Karachi Kings that allege Lahore Qalandars addressed  Wasim Akram by derogatory, abusive names, after which matters got worse.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has ordered further investigations to be done after the decision of match referee.

In the wake of the incident, Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim have been severely accused of misbehaving with women, some of which belong to the players' immediate family.
