Three condemned prisoners hanged in Gujranwala, Faisalabad
GUJRANWALA: Three death row convicts were hanged to death in Gujranwala and Faisalabad early Thursday morning.
According to jail sources, two prisoners Ejaz and Abdul Jabbar were sent to gallows around 5:30AM in Central Jail Gujranwala. Ejaz had killed a man in 1995 and Abdul Jabbar in 2001.

GUJRANWALA: Three death row convicts were hanged to death in Gujranwala and Faisalabad early Thursday morning.
According to jail sources, two prisoners Ejaz and Abdul Jabbar were sent to gallows around 5:30AM in Central Jail Gujranwala. Ejaz had killed a man in 1995 and Abdul Jabbar in 2001.
Both the murder convicts were hanged after their mercy pleas were rejected by the president.
Separately, condemned prisoner Zafar Iqbal was hanged to death in Faisalabad Central Jail. Zafar was convicted of killing a woman over resistance during a robbery bid in 2005.
Meanwhile, hanging of two death row prisoners was halted after families of Nizam Din and Muhammad Hussain presented compromise agreement to the jail authorities.
