In pictures: Holy month of Ramadan across the globe

The holy month of Ramadan has commenced world-over with Muslims observing day’s long fast to empathize with the sufferings of poverty-stricken and the underprivileged.

While in some countries, such as the USA and Canada, May 16 marked the start of Ramadan this year; for the rest of the world including Pakistan, today (May 17) is the beginning of the blessed month.

Here is a glimpse of how Muslims in different countries across the globe are observing fasts during Ramadan.
