MOSCOW: Owing to the extreme weather conditions that has gripped most parts of the world this winter season, frozen lake Baikal in Russia provided adventure-lovers the perfect opportunity to race for as long as 200 km.
Around 50 world-class athletes participated in the race in their attempt to take down the title.
The race saw participants racing via bikes, others using skiing shoes, while a large number competed through skating.
In this exciting three-day race, 8 athletes while demonstrating immense courage skillfully reached the finish line and took home the winning title.
