KARACHI: On the eve of the beginning of the year 2018, Federal Government has given a new year gift to the people as prices of petroleum products have been increased.
Announcing the new rates, the newly appointed adviser finance Miftah Ismail said that prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi had given the approval to the summary of the revised prices proposed by the ministry of finance.
According to the announcement, price of petrol has been increased by Rs 4.06 per litre, diesel by Rs 3.96 per litre, light diesel by Rs 6.25 per litre, high speed diesel by Rs 3.69 per litre, and kerosene oil by Rs 6.79 per litre.
The new prices of these products will be as follows: petrol Rs 81.53 per litre, light diesel Rs Rs 58.37 per litre, high speed diesel Rs 89.91 per litre and kerosene oil Rs 64.30 per litre.
The new prices will be effective from 12 am on January 1, 2018.
