SACRAMENTO, California: American scientists recently revealed in a study that sleeping with your phone kept besides can cause cancer.
The harmful radiation emitted by cellular phones actually gives birth to cancerous cells in human body and hence it is not advisable to sleep while your phone is kept next to you, according to the research.
Explaining the phenomenon in detail, the study states that mobile phones use lower frequency radio signals for the transmission of information, especially when users are streaming or downloading content. This leads to the emission of rays which can cause various diseases like cancer, infertility and brain damage.
The study conducted by Californian state’s health department recommends users to switch their phones off before going to bed, as it is hazardous to health for men, women and children alike.
