KINGSTON, Jamaica: Pakistan need just 32 runs to win the first Test against West Indies after leg-spinner Yasir Shah wrapped up the hosts’ second innings before lunch on the fifth and final day of the match here at the Sabina Park on Tuesday.
Yasir captured six for 63 from 21.4 overs while debutant seamer Mohammad Abbas claimed two wickets for 35. He had taken one wicket in the first innings.
Fast bowler Mohammad Amir took one wickets after taking six for 44 in the first innings while pacer Wahab Riaz got one wicket each in both innings.
West Indies were all out for 152 after resuming on 93 for four in the morning. Opener Keiron Powell top scored with 49 whereas five other players could not get into the double figures.
Earlier, Pakistan made 407 in reply to West Indies’s first innings total of 286, taking a lead of 121 runs. Captain Misbah-ul-Haq stranded on 99 while Babar Azam (72), Younis Khan (58) and Sarfraz Ahmed (54) struck fifties.
