ISLAMABAD: Asifa Bhutto Zardari, daughter of former president Asif Ali Zardari, has timely critized Khursheed Shah for his derogatory remarks against women.

The remarks were made in a National Assembly session Thursday, in response to which Asifa has demanded him to apologize and refrain from passing such comments again as they reflect our society.

Furthermore, she stated that the remarks made in the parliament, being the face of our society, by our parliamentarians reflect on the society in tweets that were broadcast to over 1.17 million follwers.

The incident took place during the National Assembly session on Thursday, as Speaker National assembly Ayaz Sadiq asked some female parlimentarians to maintain decorum of the house.

Leader of the opposition Khursheed Shah remarked that the Speaker should not stop women because "they will fall sick if they don't speak continuously", after he was disrupted as he had been addressing.

The remark was quick to draw resentment of female parliamentarians, including Nafisa Shah, also a member of the Pakistan People's party, who dissented and inquired why he was only silencing women while men parliamentarians were also talking.

Speaker NA warned Khursheed Shah that he would lose his image "by speaking this way about women"
