BANGKOK, Thailand: Pakistan Women’s cricket team thrashed Bangladesh Women by nine wickets in Asian Cricket Council Women's Twenty20 Asia Cup in Bangkok on Wednesday.
Bangladesh, who beat Thailand Women and Nepal Women earlier, opted to bat first and it turned out to be disastrous as they were bowled out for 44 from 15.3 overs.
Only two batters could get into the double-figures – Jahanara alam (12 not out) and captain Rumana Ahmed (11).
For Pakistan, allrounder Sana Mir captured three wickets for just five runs from three overs while seamer Aiman Anwar claimed two for nine.
In reply, Pakistan lost Ayesha Zafar early but Javeria Khan and Iram Javed batted well to steer their team to victory in only 9.5 overs.
Javeria remained not out on 26 while Iram made an unbeaten 17.
Earlier on Tuesday, Pakistan Women tasted a five-wicket defeat from India Women in a thrilling finish after they thrashed Sri Lanka Women by eight wickets on Sunday.
