ISLAMABAD: Police resorted to teargas shelling at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf workers in Swabi as they were heading to Islamabad to participate in Dharna.
The Section 144 has been imposed in Islamabad.
Police used shelling to disperse the PTI workers, stating that they would not be allowed to proceed to Islamabad.
Police alleged that the protesters were using cranes to remove containers.
The clash erupted following the address of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak at the Swabi Interchange who was leading the rally towards the federal capital.
The Chief Minister said that the Federal government has blocked roads and cut-off his province from the rest of the country, which is unconstitutional.
How dare you blocked KPK routes, he asked the government.
Can PML-N do everything, is there no law for the ruling party, he raged.
