ABU DHABI: Veteran batsman Younis Khan, who missed the first Test as he recovered from dengue fever, came with a bang in second Test as he hit a magnificent hundred, 33rd in his 109th Test.

The former captain completed his hundred with a boundary, the eighth so far. He also struck a six just after completing his fifty.

He faced169 balls for his second successive hundred after 218, which he scored against England at The Oval just two months ago.

He has also set a world record scoring 31 consecutive 100's without getting out in the 90s. Thus he has surpassed every single legend of Test cricket.

His 33 Test hundreds are the seventh most in Test cricket behind SR Tendulkar (51), JH Kallis (45), RT Ponting (41), KC Sangakkara (38), R Dravid (36), SM Gavaskar (34), BC Lara (34) and DPMD Jayawardene (34).

The 33 Test hundreds hit by Younis include one triple century and five double tons. His highest score is 313, made against Sri Lanka at Karachi in 2009.

Younis Khan holds Pakistan records of scoring the most runs and centuries in Test cricket. He has so far made more than 9,500 runs and is expected to become the first Pakistani batsman to reach 10,000 Test runs.
