Hillary Clinton will be the next president: US Congresswoman

DALLAS: Senior Member of US House of Representative from Dallas Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson has said that Muslim community needs to make sure to go out and vote in coming elections.

She said that as a US citizen this is “the most powerful tool you have”.

She was addressing the second annual DFW Chamber of Commerce dinner reception. Congresswoman Johnson said that America’s greatness comes from its diversity as people from all over the world live there  

She said that entrepreneurial class is contributing immensely in growth and progress of American economy.

The lawmaker said that she is glad to see Muslim Chamber of Commerce in formation as it will add to diversity.

She said that Democrats and Republicans are together in this platform for the improvement of the society. She said that Hillary Clinton will be the next President of USA. She said that she will appeal to all to help Hillary elected.

Muslim Chamber of Commerce President Ghulam Jhangda while addressing the gathering thanked all the participants.

The event was also participated by Texas house representative from Dallas N.G. Chen, Dallas county Sheriff Lupe Valdez, Judge Gena Slaughter, Judge Ginsberg, Judge Brandon Birmingham, Judge Dominique Collins, Dallas Schools Chairman Larry Duncan, Commisioner Theressa Daniel, Islamic Society of North America President Azhar Aziz, American Muslim Democratic Caucus Co-Chair Syed Fayyaz Hassan, Aftab Siddiqui, Amir Makhani, and other city notables.

The event was also addressed by Dallas Mayor pro-tem Monica Alonzo, Paris Texas Mayor Arjumand Hashmi, Richardson Mayor Vaulker, Garland Mayor Ronald Jones, and Plano Mayor Harry Larosiliere.

Judge Gena Slaughter announced  scholarships for Muslim students, which was given by ISNA President Azhar Aziz.

Zohra Siddiqui and Mohammad Saleh were recipient of the scholarship. Ghulam Jangda thanked the host committee for their hard work in making the event successful.

The host committee included Anwar Azeem, Anees Gaziani, Khalid Hameedeh, John Hamid, Riaz Memon, Iqbal Hassan, Terri Hodge, Hafeez Khan, Waqar Khan, Amir Makhani, Mohsin Manevia, Allama Babar Rahmani, Akram Syed, Aftab Siddiqui, News media representative Raja Zahid Khanzada, Waseem Salam and volunteers Riaz Hassan, Javairia Bilal, Sherri Gaziani, Nadia Yousuf, Maroof Memon, Hasan Yousuf, Dr. Sameer, Zaki Islam Amjad, and others.
