Sarfraz completes his second ODI ton, taking Pakistan to 202-5 in 43 overs

LONDON: Sarfraz Ahmed has completed his brilliant century in a great effort to take Pakistan out of trouble in the second One-day International against England here at Lord’s on Saturday.

He made his second ODI hundred, first against England, off 124 balls with the help of six boundaries.

He came to rescue his team when it made a disastrous start losing three top-order batsmen at only two runs on the board and set three successive half-century partnerships with Babar Azam, Shoaib Malik and Imad Wasim to steer Pakistan to a respectable total of 202 for five in 43 overs.

First he made 64 with babar for the fourth wicket, then 59 with Shoaib for the fifth wicket and now 73 runs for an unfinished sixth wicket stand with Imad Wasim

Sarfraz is batting on 105, his highest score in ODI career, while Imad is not out on 31and it is expected that they would take the total beyond 250 in 50 overs.

Sarfraz had scored his first ODI hundred, 101 not out, against Ireland at Adelaide during the ICC World Cup 2015.

His previous highest score against England was 64, which he made at Abu Dhabi last year.
