Thom Yorke suffered a "crash" in "self-confidence" after Radiohead's 2025 reunion tour.

The singer got back together with his bandmates to hit the road for their first tour in seven years playing shows across Europe with stops in Madrid, Bologna, London, Berlin and Copenhagen.

Thom has insisted the trek was "fun" but he struggled after the shows wrapped and it took him "months" to recover and told Rolling Stone, "After the [2025] Radiohead tour – even though in the middle of it, it was really fun – my response to it afterwards was to crash, like massively crash, in terms of self-confidence."

The Creep singer explained he didn't really bounce back until he started work on a new solo record, adding, "It took me months. It took me starting on my own record again two months later to go: 'Oh, OK. I’m good now. I’m fine.'”

"I just have a really odd relationship with it. And I’ve just grown used to that,” Thom confessed.

The singer also admitted he felt it was "deeply confusing" to have been inducted into the Fellowship of The Ivors Academy at the Ivor Novello Awards back in May.

He said of the honour, "I'm in a slightly better place nowadays, but I'd be lying if I didn't say that something like getting an Ivor Novello fellowship was not deeply confusing for me.”

"I admire a lot of the people that they've given those awards to. Some of these people are my heroes. But I have a very, very strange relationship to... God, this is really hard to explain. I have a very strange relationship to that element of my work... " he added.

Thom also recalled the presence of his two children, Agnes and Noah, and his wife Dajana at the ceremony, who were thrilled to see him honoured with the accolade but he just felt "quite numb" when he was receiving the prize.

He told the publication, "You probably saw Agnes and Noah at the Ivors. They were very emotional about it, and Dajana, my wife, was as well.”

"I do it for them, because if they're emotional about it, OK, that's why I'm here. Because for me, I feel quite numb about it,” Thom Yorke concluded as he explained the complicated relationship he has with his work.
