Bush, Obama administrations ignored Hefner's Epstein complaint on Audra Christiansen abuse

The George W. Bush and Barack Obama administrations allegedly ignored calls for an investigation into Jeffrey Epstein after he was reported to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for sexually abusing Audra Christiansen.

Newly unsealed federal court documents reveal Christiansen, a Playboy playmate, informed the magazine founder Hugh Hefner in 2005 that she was trafficked and sexually abused by Epstein.

Hefner contacted the FBI but, despite those contacts, the FBI didn’t follow up with her until October 2020. A large number of Americans have expressed surprise at why the US administrations ignored the allegations against Epstein for so long.

They have also criticized the FBI for not acting against Epstein, wondering whether the agency was influenced not to do so.

Commenting on the new revelations, an X user wrote, “This makes you wonder what other crimes the FBI has been ignoring because the perpetrator is famous and/or powerful.”

Taking aim at the Playboy founder, one user wrote, “Hef wasn't innocent either. Watch the docuseries about the Playboy Mansion.”

Playboy founder Hugh Hefner died on September 27, 2017, at the age of 91.
