Mick Jagger says it is very hard to choose his favourite Rolling Stones song.

The 82-year-old singer was speaking with NBC’s TODAY show, when he reflected on the “hundreds” of songs the band has made over the years, saying picking just one is not possible.

Jagger also spoke about some of the Rolling Stones albums. He said he likes Sticky Fingers and Beggars Banquet. He also said their recent album Hackney Diamonds is very good.

He joked about how the band once made albums with only a few songs. "There's some Rolling Stones albums that have eight tracks. I mean, you only have eight tracks, and you were like 30 years old? Come on, what were you doing?” he added, seemingly referencing their 1978 studio album, Some Girls.

When asked again to name a single favourite song, Jagger said it is too difficult because the band has so many different styles. He said their music includes songs like Sympathy for the DevilStart Me UpAngie, and Honky Tonk Women.

He explained that the Rolling Stones have made music for many decades, so there are too many songs to choose from.

Jagger also said the band is still active and still making new music. Their new album, Foreign Tongues, will be released on July 10.

He said staying active and fit is one reason he is still performing at his age. He said performing live takes discipline and effort, especially now that he is older.

His bandmate Keith Richards gave a shorter answer when asked about their music career. He said they just keep going as long as they can.

The new album will also feature collaborations with other major artists, including Paul McCartney, Robert Smith, and Chad Smith.
