Jim Carrey as Grinch again moves closer to reality as sequel talks heat up
Jim Carrey and other members of 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas' are in talks for a sequel
More than 25 years ago, Jim Carrey appeared on the big screen on Christmas as the mean Grinch, a role he later said was so taxing.
Now, it is a possibility the Grinch may come back for How the Grinch Stole Christmas' sequel.
After all, the Christmas movie was a holiday box-office sensation at the time.
Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Carry is in talks to slip into the green grouch for a long-awaited second installment.
Universal and Imagine Entertainment are behind the project. Ron Howard, who previously directed the original movie, is expected to return.
In addition to reuniting the original team, talks have begun with the producer Brian Grazer to come on board.
Though nothing is final yet, as the negotiations are ongoing.
However, if the deal gets sealed, Alec Berg, Jeff Schaffer and David Mandel may be tipped to pen the script.
