In addition, the likes of Common, Doechii, Jill Scott, Kehlani, Tems, and T.I. will perform, while organisers also teased French Montana and Max B reuniting for a "long-awaited performance."

"BET Awards has always been a celebration of the artists, visionaries, and cultural moments that shape our community and move culture forward," praised BET executive Connie Orlando.

"This year's show brings together an extraordinary mix of legends, superstars, and emerging talent whose influence continues to resonate across generations. From powerful performances to historic tributes, we're creating the kind of unforgettable moments that define the BET Awards. And we're only getting started,” the official added.

Cardi B is set to dominate the prizegiving, having garnered six nominations, while Kendrick Lamar and Mariah the Scientist each landed five apiece.

Previously, BET officials revealed that Lauryn Hill will receive the Living Legend Icon Award during the show, while actress-singer Teyana Taylor will be recognised as Icon of the Year.

The BET Awards were established in 2001 by producers at the Black Entertainment Television network to celebrate Black entertainers and other minorities in music, film, sports and philanthropy.
