Len Cariou breaks silence on his 'Boston Blue' debut
Len Cariou finally shares his thoughts on making an appearance in 'Boston Blue' spinoff of his show 'Blue Bloods'
Len Cariou has finally broken his silence on the spinoff of his hit show Blue Bloods.
Cariou gave an interview to PEOPLE magazine ahead of a forthcoming episode of Boston Blue in which he will reprise his role as retired NYPD commissioner Henry Reagan, the grandfather of Danny Reagan, played by Donnie Wahlberg.
On February 25, the 86-year-old Canadian actor and singer attended the New York City premiere of his new show, American Classic, where he admitted to the outlet that filming Boston Blue with Wahlberg was “fun.”
Alluding to Reagan’s son Sean Reagan, played by Mika Amonsen, he added, "It was great to see Donnie and meet the new great-grandchild.”
This comes after Wahlberg announced that Cariou would be making a cameo appearance on Boston Blue at the Television Critics Association panel in January of this year.
"Grandpa Reagan's going to be showing up and [Danny's sister] Erin's going to show up again,” TVLine reported.
After his announcement, a representative of the series confirmed to PEOPLE magazine about the casting of The Four Seasons star.
The midseason trailer for Boston Blue was released in February of this year, featuring Cariou, Danny, Gloria Reuben’s character DA Mae Silver, and her daughter Detective Lena Silver (portrayed by Sonequa Martin-Green).
It is important to note that Cariou will appear in the episode of Boston Blue which is expected to be released in April this year; however, this has yet to be confirmed.
