The Minnesota Wild extended their winning streak Monday night with an overtime victory against the Montreal Canadiens, thanks to a clutch performance from Kirill Kaprizov.

Minnesota earned the advantage after Phillip Danault was called for hooking Kaprizov in front of the net.
Kaprizov took a pass from Quinn Hughes and fired a shot past Jakub Dobes from the high slot for his 32nd goal of the season.
Joel Eriksson Ek and Brock Faber also scored for Minnesota, while Hughes recorded three assists to reach 50 points on the season.
Goaltender Filip Gustavson finihsed with 17 saves as the Wild won their fourth straight game.
Faber tied the game 3-3 at 7:05 of the third period, jumping on a loose puck down the right side and beating Dobes with a quick shot.
Montreal built momentum after falling behind 2-0 early.
Brendan Gallagher got the Canadiens on the board late in the first period, and Ivan Demidov tied the game with 17 seconds left in the second.
Kirby Dach then gave Montreal a brief lead just 12 seconds into the third period after finishing a feed from Nick Suzuki.
Eriksson Ek opened the scoring 38 seconds into the game, and Kaprizov made it 2-0 later in the first period by tipping in a Hughes pass.
Minnesota will visit Nashville next, while Montreal heads to Winnipeg to close out play before the Olympic break.
