William makes calculated move to future-proof his public role amid Harry return
Prince William prepares for future pressures with strategic behind-the-scenes move
Prince William has made a proactive and carefully calculated move behind the scenes by hiring crisis manager Liza Ravenscroft amid rumours of Prince Harry’s UK return.
The Prince of Wales’ move signals a clear shift towards long-term planning rather than reactive damage control, claimed a PR expert.
Speaking with The Mirror, PR expert Mayah Riaz said that the decision reflects William’s understanding that as the future king, preparation is important in an era of constant scrutiny.
“Speaking as someone who works closely with high-profile public figures on crisis management, this is a calculated and proactive move, not a reaction to panic,” she said, revealing the real reason behind William’s decision.
She continued, “At this level of public scrutiny, the biggest reputational mistakes usually come from being unprepared, not from the crisis itself.”
Amid rumours William took the decision to deal with the Duke of Sussex, the expert said he did so to stay ahead of potential challenges.
Riaz added, “A crisis manager’s role is essentially to stress test every possible scenario, identify pressure points before they erupt, and put clear response plans in place.
“It is about message discipline, speed, and making sure the right narrative is ready if and when speculation starts to spiral.
“For a senior royal, this is about protecting long-term credibility rather than firefighting daily headlines."
