King Charles' Trust marks half-century with hopeful message
King Charles began the charity back in 1976
King Charles' charity, The King's Trust, is commemorating its 50th anniversary.
The trust, founded in 1976, shared a video message on the milestones, stating, "We are just getting started."
Charles laid the foundation of the charity after he completed his Royal Navy duty to help disadvantaged young people in the UK improve their lives and employment opportunities.
The video began. “50 years, that’s half a century of determination, 50 years of struggle, passion, and the will to change.
“From one vision, to global support, from first steps to newfound confidence.
“Each journey is unique, but it all starts with the spark of an idea, the vision to succeed, the will to change.
“The thing is, we are just getting started! We are needed now more than ever before. Young people are still facing challenges, we will be there supporting them, into work, education, and training.“
Moreover, the Royal Mint has collaborated with the charity to make a special coin to celebrate the important occasion.
A “star-studded” event will also take place to mark the milestone at the Royal Albert Hall on May 11.
