Kate Middleton's new approach expected to draw criticism from Meghan's camp
Kate Middleton will prioritize her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and husband Prince William
Kate Middleton wants to prioritize spending time with her children as she is "done" with the hectic schedules of her past, said a royal commentator.
The Princess of Wales, who was diagnosed with cancer in early 2024, is making a gradual return to royal duties after completing her chemotherapy.
According to GB News, royal commentator Robert Jobson said, "After everything she has been through, she feels blessed that her treatment is over, and quality time with the children is what matters most."
Jobson said the past year was characterised by "survival then recovery mode, picking her moments and pacing herself."
"This year, I expect Catherine to carry out more engagements but be selective," Jobson observed. "It will be meaningful, with gaps in between for her family."
The princess has made clear that her previous relentless schedule is firmly in the past.
"Running on empty isn't an option; nor is missing too much time with George, Charlotte and Louis. The days of just powering through are done," Mr Jobson told Hello!.
Commenting on Kate's 44th birthday celebrations, he said that whilst Prince William once treated her to romantic dinners during their courtship, the couple now favour quiet family suppers at home.
Kate's new approach will likely draw criticism from anti-monarchists and Meghan's supporters even if she decides to prioritize her family.
The Princess of Wales is often mocked by royal family opponents, partly because her supporters often ridicule Meghan Markle on social media.
