Prince William shows down-to-earth side during shopping trip
Stylist shares glimpse of Prince William’s relatable personality
Prince William showed a surprisingly down-to-earth side during a shopping trip, which revealed how down-to-earth he truly is.
Celebrity stylist Dean Aslett revealed that he once accompanied the future King on a shopping spree but was surprised to see how he picked up simple, everyday items.
He also bought a small gift for late Queen Elizabeth II, proving that his tastes can be practical and unpretentious.
The stylist noted that William’s choices were ordinary and modest as most of his shopping included DVDs and fragrances.
“It started with a call from Special Branch. It was all very cloak and dagger. They called my home number I suppose to check I wasn’t a member of the IRA,” he told Daily Mail.
“There was nothing bling about anything William wanted. It was DVDs, fragrances, little trinkets,” he recalled.
“I was tickled by that because I was a Doctor Who fan, too. But you don’t think of The Queen watching it.”
Recently, William showed a more relatable side of him during his appearance on The Reluctant Traveler show earlier this year.
Speaking on what the future of monarchy holds, the Prince of Wales said, "I think it's safe to say that change is on my agenda. Change for good, and I embrace that, I enjoy that change.”
"I don't fear it, that's the bit that excites me, the idea of being able to bring some change. Not overly radical, but changes that I think need to happen."
