Diddy's mom shares thoughts on new Netflix docuseries about son
Diddy's mother slams Netflix for spreading misinformation and falsehoods about her family
Sean "Diddy" Combs' mother, Janice Combs, has publicly dismissed the allegations made in Netflix's new docuseries, Sean Combs: The Reckoning.
In a statement to Deadline, Janice slammed the streaming platform for spreading misinformation and falsehoods about her family, saying the four-part series contains "lies" and "inaccuracies" about Diddy's life.
“I am writing this statement to correct some of the lies presented in the Netflix, Sean Combs: The Reckoning," she penned. "These inaccuracies regarding my son Sean’s upbringing and family life is intentionally done to mislead viewers and further harm our reputation."
Janice further said in her statement that "The allegations stated by Mr. Kirk Burrows [sic] that my son slapped me while we were conversing after the tragic City College events on December 28, 1991, are inaccurate and patently false."
"That was a very sad day for all of us … For him to use this tragedy and incorporate fake narratives to further his prior failed and current attempt to gain what was never his — Bad Boy Records — is wrong, outrageous and past offensive," she added.
“I am requesting that these distortions, falsehoods and misleading statements be publicly retracted," Diddy's mother said later in her statement.
The documentaries came after the infamous music mogul was found guilty on two prostitution-related charges.
For those unversed, Sean Combs: The Reckoning was released on Netflix on December 2.
