“King Charles is expected to lead, but the Palace wants Prince William and Kate Middleton to be involved”
Princess of Wales Kate Middleton and Prince William have got a chance to subtly reclaim the spotlight from Harry and Meghan Markle on US soil, it has been claimed.
According to a report by the Closer Online, the future king and queen are planning a major 2026 trip to the States to celebrate the 250th anniversary of America signing the Declaration of Independence.
The insider tells the outlet, “Charles is expected to lead, but the Palace wants William and Kate to be involved”
“The visit will be a chance for them to subtly reclaim the spotlight from Harry and Meghan on American soil with grace, duty and real star power,” the close confidant added.
The publication also reported, the Princess of Wales, who built a friendship with Melania Trump during State visit in September, is apparently reaching out to the First Lady.
They are said to still be exchanging messages.
The Prince and Princess of Wales are ‘pragmatic, focused and united’ – “they've taken control.”
“Kate's resolute now. There's no room for chaos - not from Andrew, and certainly not from Harry and Meghan. They won't let them wreck this tour.”
The royal insider said the Palace is working to make sure Harry and Meghan do not steal the “limelight” during Kate and William's US trip.
The insider added, “It's a statement, a line in the sand. They're not just representing the Crown - they're reclaiming it.”
Earlier, there were also claims US President Donald Trump plans to host King Charles in a lavish State visit planned for the spring — if the monarch’s health allows him to travel.
The sources say, “We’re hoping all the senior royals will come over.
However, Prince Harry and Meghan won’t be on the guest list.
