Why King Charles really forced Harry, Meghan out of Frogmore Cottage
Royal insider revealed what really pushed King Charles to evict Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from Frogmore Cottage
A royal insider has finally revealed what pushed King Charles to evict his “darling boy” Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle from the Frogmore Cottage.
According to a new report, the Duke of Sussex’s criticism of Queen Camilla in his bombshell memoir Spare is said to have played a major role in Charles’ decision to remove the Sussexes from Frogmore Cottage.
Harry’s controversial book included more than 60 references to Camilla and described her as a “wicked stepmother,” comments which did not sit well with Charles.
A report by The Express revealed that advisers briefed Charles on the most damaging passages shortly after the book’s release in January 2023.
It made Charles to act within days. "It was the last straw,” they said. “Harry was well aware how Camilla would be a red line for his father and he crossed with flagrant disregard anyway.”
"The King felt without a doubt it crossed a line - it was the ultimate act of disrespect,” they added.
Harry also wrote that he and Prince William once begged their father not to marry Camilla, saying they feared she would be “dangerous.”
"I had complex feelings about gaining a step parent who, I believed, had recently sacrificed me on her personal PR altar," he wrote.
"In a funny way I even wanted Camilla to be happy. Maybe she'd be less dangerous if she was happy?"
