Princess of Wales Kate Middleton has shared a message of ‘empathy and support’ as she marked Addiction Awareness Week after reports about Rose Hanbury claims resurfaced.

According to a report by the OK! royal biographer Andrew Lownie has claimed Kate issued an ultimatum to Prince William regarding his highly alleged affair with ex-friend Rose Hanbury.

The royal author, citing insiders, claims Kate warned William “It’s her or me, make up your mind."

Andrew Lownie made a post on his Substack about the new details, which he deleted after a few hours, but it was picked up by OK! Magazine.

He writes, “Kate was devastated by the rumors of the affair. She told William he was not allowed to go anywhere near Rose again."

The future king and queen have also reportedly gone to marriage therapy to help repair their possible rift.

The insider said, "Since the rumors of the affair surfaced back in 2019, Kate and William have been through counseling and, although their marriage can be rocky at times, it’s safe to say that they won’t split anytime soon."

Amid these reports, Kate Middleton took to social media and shared a powerful message to mark the week.

The Princess of Wales, who has been patron of the charity since 2021, says “Proud to be Patron of the Forward Trust this Addiction Awareness Week.”

She continued, “Addiction is not a choice, or a personal failing, but a complex mental health condition that should be met with empathy and support.”

Kate also shared her complete statement released earlier to mark the week.

As per the statement, Kate said it is time to end the "fear, shame and judgement" endured by people with drug, alcohol, and gambling addictions, and for society to show them "compassion and love" instead.
