Princess Kate was a vision of confidence and grace as she represented the royal family during a very important calendar date earlier last week.
This month has been a significant one for the Wales family as they began their major transition, but her focus seemed to be on one particular member of the family starting a fresh chapter amid the ongoing turmoil.
King Charles and the senior royals had been consumed by some very tough decisions to make especially as the monarch made a landmark decision to completely oust his brother Andrew.
Prince William had been a firm support for Charles as his heir, a role that one day will fall on Prince George.
On Saturday, the Princess of Wales had joined veterans and their families along with the serving members of the Armed Forces at the National Memorial Arboretum to mark Armistice Day. Dressed solemnly in all black Catherine Walker dress, Kate seemed to have one important person on her mind as she took centre stage to recite an emotional poem.
According to Lifestyle writer Josh Oman, the Princess had added a special accessory to her royal jewellery collection: ruby earrings. He wrote in Hello! that there is a much more “symbolic” meaning to Kate choosing to wear the earrings for the event.
“Rubies are known as the birthstone of July, likely making the gems a quiet nod to her eldest son, Prince George, whose birthday is on the 22nd of the month,” he stated.
“The 12-year-old has been stepping up to his royal responsibilities, having made his debut at the Royal British Legion’s Festival of Remembrance this year.”
He also pointed out that Prince William was the same age as George when he began his royal appearances for big event, indicating that the young prince is officially starting his journey as the royal heir.
