Princess Kate addresses dealing with cancer in 'public eye'
Future Queen Catherine is in remission from cancer
Catherine, the Princess of Wales, recalled her shock cancer diagnosis in her latest joint appearance with Prince William.
The future King and Queen stepped out in London to attend the Royal Variety Show last night. For the event, Kate wore a beautiful floor-length velvet gown, whereas William donned a classic three-piece suit.
From enjoying the performances to interacting with artists and attendees, the royal couple enjoyed their night out.
One of the moments which grabbed the attention of royal fans was Princess Kate and singer Jessie J's conversation about their cancer diagnosis.
Behind the scenes, the English songwriter told Catherine, "I just had breast cancer."
She added, "I just want to give you a hug; cancer really puts life into perspective."
The ladies shared a warm hug and talked about the shock that came after being diagnosed with cancer.
It is important to note that Jessie, like the Princess of Wales, was quite vocal about her health scare, giving a gentle reminder to people that it is okay to talk.
Later on, Jessie shed light on her experience of meeting the future Queen; she shared, "Mum to mum, who has just recently gone through cancer, I just wanted to give her a hug."
The singer shared, "We acknowledged that it's something that is not easy to go through, especially in the public eye."
