Andrew and Fergie kicked out of prestigious Mayfair Club despite good history
Princess Beatrice and Eugenie keep memberships as Annabel’s quietly benches Andrew and Fergie
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson may have once waltzed through London’s most glittering doors, but one iconic hotspot has rolled up its velvet carpet.
The former royal couple has been blacklisted from Annabel’s, the Mayfair club famed for hosting everyone from Princess Diana to Mick Jagger and Frank Sinatra.
Now, insiders say Andrew and Fergie “would be turned away,” as their presence is apparently not the kind of publicity the club needs right now.
Though Andrew was never a formal member, he and Sarah enjoyed a long standing “come-and-go” arrangement but now their luxury has expired.
Staff have allegedly been instructed that the pair are no longer welcome, leaving them with fewer and fewer high society havens.
According to The Mail, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are both members, meaning the family could face some uncomfortable nights outs or more likely, nights in.
One insider told, “There’s some concern because Annabel’s is one of the last places where Andrew and Sarah felt comfortable. This could make things very awkward indeed.”
Staff have been told to handle things “sensitively,” especially when it comes to informing Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, both loyal members.
The move stings a little more given Andrew’s long association with the venue from planning his 1986 stag do there to celebrating his 30th birthday inside its famous walls.
He’s even been turned away before, but this time, the ban extends across Richard Caring’s entire Birley Group empire, including the Club.
