Meghan Markle 'wears tiara on bed,' new controversy emerges

Meghan Markle faced heavy backlash after it was revealed that she still has been using her royal title for personal gain.

The Duchess of Sussex recently made it to the headlines for finally making it to the renowned magazine's cover with an exclusive interview.

Harper's Bazaar December 2025/January 2026 issue featured the former working royal talking about her business, how she fell in love with Prince Harry, family life, being authentic and making mistakes.

Liz Jones, a British journalist, is not impressed by Meghan's interview, calling it a "waffling word salad sprinkled not with flowers but clichés, only slightly obfuscated barbs and not one pinch of self-awareness."

But, the moment which grabbed the attention of royal experts was when Prince Harry's wife was announced as 'Meghan, Duchess of Sussex,' loudly by her pal's house manager during the conversation with Kaitlyn Greenidge.

Kaitlyn described the event, "We’re in a grand brownstone on the Upper East Side that belongs to one of Meghan’s friends."

She added, "When I enter, the house manager announces, ‘Meghan, Duchess of Sussex,’ even though we appear to be the only other two people in the house."

Commenting on that, Liz took a dig at Meghan for still depending on her royal ties.

"That Hallmark movie moment shouts volumes: a fake display showing that she is grasping on to the brief period of her life when she actually did deserve a magazine cover. I wonder if she wears a tiara in bed?" Liz penned in the Daily Mail.
