Ivanka Trump was purportedly targeted in an Iran-backed assassination plot tied to revenge over the 2020 killing of Iranian commander Qasem Soleimani, according to recent reports.

The 32-year-old Mohammad Baqer Dawood Al-Saadi planned to kill the US president's eldest daughter.

The Iraqi national had vowed to end Ms Trump’s life and had obtained a blueprint of her home on the exclusive Indian Creek Island near Miami Beach.

The 32-year-old ideal for a prominent figure in Iraqi and Iranian terror circles to have posted on X determined the location of Ms. Trump’s $24 million luxurious house that she shares with her husband, and three children, Arabella Rose, Theodore James and Joseph Frederick.

According to the New York Post, Mr Al-Saadi wrote in Arabic: “I say to the Americans look at this picture and know that neither your palaces nor the Secret Service will protect you. We are currently in the stage of surveillance and analysis. I told you, our revenge is a matter of time.”

In the justice department (DOJ), he was arrested in Turkey and charged with 18 attacks and attempted attacks across Europe and the US.

It has been observed that most of Al-Saadi’s suspected targets were Jewish interests, and he is accused of involvement in a shooting at the US consulate in Toronto and the arson attack on the Bank of New York Mellon in Amsterdam in March.

A Senior Fellow at the Washington DC-based, Elizabeth Tsurkov highlighted a bold declaration to the New York Post that Mr Al-Saadi maintained close ties to Soleimani, looking up to the military commander after the passing of his own father.

It is pertinent to note that the lawyers for Mr Al-Saadi did not address for comment in this case.
