Prince Harry's new approach sparks hopes of royal reconciliation
Prince Harry is reportedly trying to get back into King Charles' 'good books'
Prince Harry is reportedly trying to get back into King Charles' "good books" by focusing on social issues that his father also cares about.
As per royal critics, the Duke of Sussex's statements on anti-Semitism and other weighty social issues are a deliberate attempt to win over King Charles III.
“There are people inside royal circles who think Harry is deliberately choosing causes like anti-Semitism because they overlap with issues Charles also feels deeply about to worm his way back into his father’s good books," said royal's critic.
Meanwhile, another critic added that Prince Harry wants “to present himself as thoughtful, compassionate, and statesmanlike.”
Harry’s motivations were further questioned after he published an essay in the New Statesman condemning anti-Semitism and anti-Muslim prejudice on the same day his father visited London’s Jewish community.
As per a royal insider, Buckingham Palace officials were uncomfortable with the overlap.
“From the Palace perspective, Harry is acting entirely as a private individual now and not as someone representing the monarchy or speaking with institutional authority," explained the insider.
“Some insiders believe there is an element of personal image management involved," the source claimed.
“Harry and Charles share far more similarities than people sometimes acknowledge publicly," added the confidant. “They were shaped by the same royal system and both developed strong views about humanitarian issues because of the unusual lives they have lived."
