Meghan Markle takes big strides as businesswoman with clever move

Meghan Markle’s “smart” tactics to slip her way back into Hollywood have been working as she becomes a major subject of discussion among big giants.

The Duchess of Sussex, who renewed her contract with Netflix, has been exploring many different professional avenues from her lifestyle business, to podcasts and now eventually leading her back to acting – Meghan is filming her cameo for movie Close Personal Friends.

While many experts believe that Meghan has been faltering in her business ventures, the As Ever founder is making useful and high-profile connections, which could aid her in her next big thing.

Even though Netflix rolled out the first major pay cheque to the Sussexes following their exit from the royal family, Meghan is now looking at someone with a bigger bank account such as billionaire Amazon boss Jeff Bezos.

The bosses at the streaming giant “have noted” Meghan’s inclination towards Bezos, an insider at Disney told The Mail on Sunday.

“The Sussexes have been the subject of much chatter this week,” the source said, pointing out that it has sparked a lot of curiousity that Meghan is “professionally wooing Jeff Bezos”.

They added, “He has all the money in the world and is one of the few people who can afford to bankroll any future projects of hers.”

This year, Netflix renewed its multi-million-dollar deal with the Sussexes with major changes in the contract. It is now a “first look” deal which means that the streaming giant will be notified first of the potential project and they will decide to greenlight it or not.

According to a source at Hollywood’s biggest talent agency, the Duchess of Sussex is a “smart businesswoman and very much in control of her career and where she sees it going”.
