King Charles has shown ‘nerves of steel’ as he took stern steps towards his disgraced brother Andrew in a landmark decision in the past weeks.

While there had been ongoing discussion about how Charles, who is undergoing cancer treatment, would not have the heart to oust his brother even though the royals and the monarchy had been suffering at the hands of his humiliating scandals.

History has pointed out that this has not been a far-fetched move from Charles, who has previously taken a stern action even during the reign of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, according to royal biographer Robert Jobson.

The then-heir to the throne, Charles, had blocked Andrew’s request for an eye-watering sum of £32,000 even after the Queen had approved it.

Charles was “horrified” to learn that Andrew would use it to pay for spiritual Indian gurus to treat him while staying at his home, Jobson wrote in his new book The Windsor Legacy: A Royal Dynasty.

In the present day, Andrew has not only been stripped of his royal honours and titles, but his ‘prince’ style has also been removed.

The 75-year “cast-iron” lease on Royal Lodge is also rendered useless to protect the shamed former Duke of York. The King had initiated the process two weeks ago to evict him.

Jobson believes that the Palace had begun to shift “not loudly, but unmistakably” and Charles’s mark was there “quiet but undeniable”, a senior insider had claimed.
