Prince Harry accused of using Archie, Lilibet to rebuild royal image
Royal author criticises Prince Harry over plans for Invictus Games appearance
Prince Harry has been accused of using his and Meghan Markle kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to "revalidate his royal status.”
Bashing the Duke of Sussex, royal author Tom Bower claimed that Harry seems to be trying to use his family to regain his former royal status.
The author of Betrayal: Power, Deceit and the Fight for the Future of the Royal Family said that King Charles’ son may want to appear with his wife and their children at the Invictus Games.
His remarks came after reports that Harry would like his family to spend part of the summer at Sandringham with Charles.
Speaking with The Express, the expert said, "I think Harry is desperate to use Meghan and his children at the Invictus Games in July to revalidate his royal status and is grasping at the sick King for that purpose."
Bower’s comments came after Harry and Meghan issued a scathing statement against the author over claims he made about them in his new book.
They said via their spokesperson that Bower has "long crossed the line from criticism into fixation.”
"This is someone who has publicly stated, 'the monarchy in fact depends on actually obliterating the Sussexes from our state of life,' language that speaks for itself,” the statement read.
It added, "He has made a career out of constructing ever more elaborate theories about people he does not know and has never met.
“Those interested in facts will look elsewhere; those seeking deranged conspiracy and melodrama know exactly where to find him."
