Travel influencer Anunay Sood's cause of death sparks online speculation

Dubai-based influencer and travel content creator Anunay Sood died at age 32, which has left the online travel community heartbroken.

Sood’s family shared this news via his Instagram handle on Thursday, November 06. 

They said, “It is with deep sadness that we share the news of our beloved Anunay Sood’s passing. We kindly ask for your understanding and privacy as we navigate this difficult time. Please keep his family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers. May his soul rest in peace.”

Although Sood’s recent social media activity shows he was in Las Vegas, U.S., the cause of his death is still unknown, that is adding fuel to the speculation theories.

Did he die due to overdose, or was it a heart attack? The sudden passing has ignited grief as well as curiosity as to "what really happened".

When Redditors start asking what happened to him, one of the fans there in the comments throws out a speculative theory about cardiac arrest: “I know someone who has been neighbours with his parents (basically living next to their family home). His parents have confirmed that he died in Vegas from cardiac arrest in his sleep."

While another redditor commented, "It was an overdose but they are covering it up with cardiac arrest."

A third user wrote, "How do you know it's an OD? We shouldn't be saying such things without any confirmation."

A fourth one jumped in , "Thank you! It's horrible to speculate and say these things when you have absolutely no proof."

Until the deceased's family shares something relating to the cause of death, none of these speculations can be taken as substantial fact.

According to reports, Anunay Sood had been in Las Vegas, U.S., for several days before his death.

His family only shared the simple post confirming that the Dubai-based travel influencer's death while asking for privacy at the moment of grief.

Sood wrote while referring to his time exploring the city, “Still can’t believe I spent the weekend surrounded by legends and dream machines.”

He started by uploading simple travel posts but gradually built a brand that stands out for storytelling and adventure.

Over time, his vlogs gained huge traction on YouTube and Instagram, where he amassed over 3.8 lakh subscribers and 120 million views in total.
