Dax Shepard discusses unruly behaviour of his and Kristen Bell’s kids
Dax Shepard reflects on his unique parenting style as girls' dad
Dax Shepard has recently made rare comment about his and Kristen Bell’s kids’ unruly behaviour.
The Armchair Expert co-host and his family were on a visit to Nashville when a close friend opened up about her shocking reaction after looking at Dax and Kristen’s kids showed “no respect” and were acting a “little entitled”.
Dax recalled saying to a friend, “You are dead right,” during his podcast on November 3.
While talking about his children, the Idiocracy actor explained, “They do talk back and they are not respectful.”
“I can understand where that seems completely unruly, but I want you to know what I'm prioritising, which is when they're 19 and their boss is a creep, I want them to talk back,” pointed out the 50-year-old.
Hit and Run actor further said that he wants his kids to be “disrespectful”.
“I want them to always advocate for themselves, whether I think they're right or wrong,” stated Dax.
When in Rome actor opened up that he and actress “were willing to deal with their girls’ behaviour at a restaurant, which his friend considered ‘embarrassing’”.
'I can handle that. Okay. Because I want this other thing for them as women,” remarked Dax
Meanwhile, Reese Witherspoon, who was a celebrity guest on Dax’s podcast, listened about his parenting style and even suggested, “It's so, so important what you say to your daughters. You write on their mind with a Sharpie.”
Therefore, the Oscar winner added, “What you give them – the tools of self-confidence, self-worth, what they're looking for in a partner, what they want in their 20s versus their 30s. You get a lot of that from your dad.”
