Benson Boone forced to cancel Birmingham show at the 11th hour
'Beautiful Things' hitmaker Benson Boone reveals the reason for postponing his concert in a heartfelt apology
Benson Boone was forced to cancel his England show due to a health crisis.
Just an hour before taking over the Utilita Arena Birmingham stage on Saturday, November 1, the Beautiful Things hitmaker revealed he is suffering from vocal issues and illness.
Taking over to his Instagram Stories over the weekend, the 23-year-old American singer-songwriter offered a heartfelt apology to the concertgoers after exhausting all options to cure his voice.
"Birmingham I am so so sorry but I will not be able to perform tonight," he wrote. "I have tried everything I can to revive my voice, but I cannot give you the show I’d like to be able to give you with the condition of my throat right now."
"This is genuinely the crappiest feeling, I am so sorry," the Grammy-nominated pop artist added, assuring that the rescheduling will be done as as soon as possible. "I promise you I will do everything in my power to make it up to you."
"I’ll update you guys as soon as I can. Thank you for everything you do. I love you guys so much," he concluded the disappointing yet concerning announcement.
The In The Stars singer is currently on the international leg of his tour supporting his second studio album American Heart.
After pulling out of his Birmingham show at the last hour, he has yet to confirm whether his upcoming London dates will go ahead as planned followed by shows in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and, finally, the United Arab Emirates.
