Miley Cyrus teases residency plans after dropping album ‘Bass Persuades’

Miley Cyrus has teased plans for a concert residency.

Earlier this month, the music superstar announced that she will play two shows at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on October 16 and 18 to celebrate the release of her new album, Bass Persuades.

Rock band Model/Actriz will serve as the special guest.

Discussing the upcoming gigs during her latest interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music, Miley described them as the "ultimate dress rehearsal".

"I think you would have to do a residency of 80 shows at the (Hollywood) Bowl to satisfy the level of demand," host Zane declared.

In response, Miley admitted that was her original "idea."

"This is the ultimate dress rehearsal. I've learned now through the queue that my calculations are correct, and people will come to me. I don't need to drive to you," the 33-year-old said while smiling.

Reflecting on the plan, Zane summarised that the Hollywood Bowl concerts were "proof of concept and potentially the beginning of something broader."

Elsewhere in the conversation, Miley joked that she also appreciated being able to perform shows close to home.

"I chose to do the show at the (Hollywood) Bowl because I knew that my bed was only going to be like a 10-minute drive home by 11 pm," Miley Cyrus shared, before noting that keeping a routine helps her stick to her sobriety. "And a big piece of that puzzle for me is my rest and my (recovery). You know, it comes from discipline."
