Benny Blanco praises Selena Gomez as 'best person in the world'

Benny Blanco has nothing but praise for his wife Selena Gomez.

During an interview with The Times newspaper, the 38-year-old music producer lauded Selena as "the best person in the world."

"She’s the best person in the world. I get to work with her and then I get to kiss her at the end of the night. That’s the best ... We’re both very patient people. Neither one of us gets angry very often," said Benny.

The musician insisted that he and Selene live a "very normal life," revealing his wife is actually a "little shy."

"My wife is very quiet and an observer," said Benny. "If we’re at a big party, neither my wife nor my mother wants to be the centre of attention, which is funny because my wife is the centre of attention in every room she goes in. But they’re both a little shy."

For those unaware, Benny exchanged vows with Selena on September 27, 2025, in Santa Barbara, California.

The American record producer recently appeared on the Today show, where he spilled the secret behind his successful relationship with the Calm Down hitmaker.  

"I didn’t use, like, black magic or anything,” Benny said. “I just was nice.”

“It’s like understanding your partner and being able to talk about things, and have an open dialogue,” the Grammy-winning producer continued. “Yeah, we’re in a really good spot, and I’m very fortunate."

"And I think, again, not being a dick and being nice to people put her in my orbit," Benny added.
