Anne Burrell passed away suddenly at the age of 55
Celebrity chef Anne Burrell, who passed away suddenly at the age of 55 this week, had recently shown excitement over the idea of joining Meghan Markle's Netflix cooking series, With Love, Meghan, just two months before her untimely death.
Best known for hosting Worst Cooks in America for an impressive 27 seasons, Burrell was found unconscious and unresponsive at her Brooklyn residence on Tuesday morning.
During an interview in April, the Food Network star was asked whether she would be open to cooking alongside the Duchess of Sussex for her lifestyle show.
'Of course, I do go to the opening of an envelop,' Burrell responded. 'Why not cook with Meghan?' she added while speaking to the DailyMail.
However, despite her willingness to appear on the series, Burrell confessed that she was not particularly fond of Markle's well-known jam form her As Ever lifestyle range. 'I am not really a jam girl.'
The debut season of With Love, Meghan featured appearances by renowned chefs such as Roy Chol and Alice Waters.
Netflix announced in March that the show had been renewed for a second season, which has already been filmed and will include guest spots from Chrissy Teigen and Jose Andres.
To note, Anne shared a stunning happy picture featuring herself and viral Brooklyn star Elizabeth Eaton just five days before her sudden death.
In the days leading up to Tuesday, June 17, the celebrity chef was found "unconscious and unresponsive" in her New York City apartment around 7:50 a.m., she spent time enjoying the New York City.
