Akshay Kumar reflects on Lord Shiva music ahead of 'Kannappa' release
Akshay Kumar recently opened up about his Lord Shiva music ahead of the release of his Telugu film Kannappa.
The Bollywood actor, who has garnered recognition for his versatile performances, is set to make his debut in the Telugu film industry.
In an exclusive interview with co-star Vishnu Manchu, Akshay, 57, revealed that he listens to Lord Shiva music during his workout and meditation sessions.
He shared, “I workout on that. Meditation is workout. Workout is meditation, actually. So I was just playing it during the make-up test and the day we were shooting.”
Later in the interview, Manchu praised the Sooryavanshi actor’s collection of Lord Shiva music.
He said, “I envy his music collection of Lord Shiva. I don't know if a lot of people know that. I turned on a software; an app to just know about the music. That's when his team told me, 'No sir. It's sir's personal collection'". Phenomenal Lord Shiva music. He plays that and he gets into a vibe. He always has such positive vibes.”
Alongside Akshay and Manchi, the upcoming film also features Prabhas, Mohanlal, Preity Mukhundhan, and Kajal Agarwal.
Kannappa, directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, is slated for release on June 27, 2025.
