Ranveer Singh opts for 'silence' amid 'Don 3' controversy
Ranveer Singh's spox statement did not head-on address the 'Don 3' allegations
FWICE, a film body, has moved against Ranveer Singh over what they said was his sudden exit from Don 3.
Now, the actor's spokesperson shared a carefully worded statement to address the controversy.
Though the statement did not directly wade into the allegations, it said Singh had chosen to maintain silence.
Instead of public statements, the actor's spox insisted the matter should be dealt with "dignity, maturity, and mutual respect.”
"Throughout the recent developments surrounding Don 3, he has consciously chosen to maintain silence, believing that professional discussions and personal equations are best handled with dignity, maturity and mutual respect."
The statement read, "While several narratives and speculations have surfaced over time, Ranveer has never considered it necessary to respond publicly or contribute to conjecture."
"His focus remains firmly on his work and the commitments ahead."
"He continues to hold deep respect and goodwill for all those involved and sincerely wishes the franchise continued success."
"Choosing restraint and grace in moments like these has always been a conscious decision on his part, and he will continue to maintain the same stance.”
The statement comes after Ashoke Pandit, FWICE chief advisor, alleged Don director Farhan Akhtar approached them to file a complaint.
In this, he allegedly said Singh exited Don 3 just three weeks before the filming.
In response, Excel Entertainment, according to reports, is demanding a whopping INR 45 crore from Singh in damages.
