King Charles, William's worst fears come true after Meghan's fresh statement

Meghan Markle dashed hopes for a reunion between Prince Harry and King Charles with her latest bombshell statement, which is seen as a subtle dig at the royal family.

The Duchess of Sussex appeared on British businesswoman Emma Grede's podcast Aspire, speaking about her brand As Ever, social media comeback, headline-making dance video and her global fashion influence while working royal.

The host asked Meghan about her Instagram return, to which she said, "It was a great way to get my voice back."

Soon after, Emma shifted the focus on the Duchess of Sussex's fashion choices and their positive impact.

The mother-of-two said, "My feelings surrounding it have ebbed and flowed because they say imitation is the best form of flattery."

She added, "At the same time, you start to watch how it's being monetised at such a huge level globally, oftentimes not giving credit to the brands and the designers who actually made those pieces."

It has been said that Meghan took a swipe at the royals by stating when she realised she didn't have as much of an opportunity to speak, she started conveying the message of support to women-led brands by wearing their pieces.

"So being able to support especially female-founded designers, small local brands, any territories we would go to on certain tours, I always tried to tap into local designers to really see their business just do so well as a result or how many people they could help or how much they could give back," Meghan recalled.

Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet's mother revealed that she began supporting such brands intentionally. She continued, "So I think in moments where I found I wasn't as empowered with my voice, I still wanted to be heard in other ways."

Meghan's recent comments may be seen as an attack on the royals, potentially hindering reconciliation talks as King Charles and Prince William fear the Sussexes will make more public jabs.
